I have to say a big huge thank you to all of my neighbours and my community! On Saturday afternoon my daughter fell off of an inflatable water slide that stands a good 8 ft high. She knocked her two front adult teeth out and the situation was serious. I had never seen so much blood before and being her mum it was very hard to go through. Pardon the descriptiveness but its important to thank the people involved.
To the person who found her teeth, to the person who knew enough to put them in milk and to keep the towel on her face and care for her while I ran to get her things and call family THANK YOU! To the neighbour who drove us to the hospital, to the people who fed my son supper and to everyone who was there to help us get into the truck to go THANK YOU!
To my ex-husbands fiance and to my friend Kathy BIG THANK YOU'S! Because of Julie we were able to get to the emergency dental clinic in Toronto after Oshawa Hospital put the teeth back in (yes they can do that) and have her teeth wired in place. Because of Kathy my son was taken care of while he waited on word about his sister.
Thank you to the family and friends that came and/or sent their get well wishes! A big THANK YOU as well to her school who has been so extremely understanding and accommodating about her situation this week. The children and staff have been wonderful.
Maddy is healing but this will be a long process starting with a root canal at Sick Kids in Toronto this coming week. There is a 6 week time period to see if the teeth will be accepted and extensive care to take place. We step outside our front door and are met with people who are so caring and concerned for us and it warms my heart to know I have such a good community looking out for us. THANK YOU to EVERYONE for your compassion and your caring. Words cannot express how much it means to us to have you in our lives.
