Ok, I'm not going to focus on the ant bites, or the weather no one wants, or the dental appointments, or the horrible schedule that may permit me from going to school in the fall. Instead I'm going to focus on the stuff that brought me good photos in the last month and the fact that there is still a month to go! (Yippee) With a lot having gone on I can focus on TV show premiere's, baby showers, bachelorette parties, trips, and family so here it goes!
On July 17th I spent the weekend with family in Toronto and attended the world premiere for the pilot "Professional Development" at the National Film Board of Canada. My brother in law David Cooper is a writer who has done an amazing job with a very talented group of people to create a tv show pilot that is about a young and new vice principal of a school. It's described as Bob Newhart meets the office. The premiere was a huge success and I was glad to be a part of it. Any chance I get to help promote the creative talents of friends or family is something I am proud to be a part of. To check out their website go to where you can find out about the premise of the show, watch the trailer or learn about how to make more episodes happen. You can also join their facebook fan page where you can see the photos taken the day of the premiere, talk with cast and crew and more. And as a side reminder (not that anyone should ever need one).... *The views expressed in Professional Development are not the views of Naturally Focused. This is a fictitious comedy created by David W Cooper.
During the weekend of the premiere all but one of my sister's was there with all of the family so the photo opportunities were in large amounts. We swam in the pool, walked the boardwalk in Toronto, visited and had girl time. (Those poor boys who entered into the room for the ABBA singing hour didn't have as much fun as we did but thank God for x-box! LOL!) Oddly enough when I think of the great photos that weekend its the pics of my daughters fairy that have me lit up and I think you can see why. Thanks to my sisters interesting decor in our *suite* at the Cooper-Ritz it gave way for a few good photos of Daisy and Clover! Who knew that toys could be so much fun to take pictures of! .... ok me but that's besides the point! LOL!Since then I've kept myself busy with baby showers and bachelorette parties and fun times but the best weekend yet was the weekend back home with my friend Kathy. Kathy and I hit the road like Thelma and Louise ...but with kids! Ok there was no partying but it was still good fun. We stayed at the Leisure Inn in Hailebury, Ontario and did the tour of the tri-towns. We visited family, swam in the lake and got wicked sun burns that are still peeling, and went to the movies in New Liskeard for a TOONEY! People if you are looking for an affordable getaway that gives you the big taste of summer you should take the drive. The scenic drive with all the lakes and beautiful landscape can let out your stresses all on its own. Now that I've made myself sound like a travel agent or pamphlet I'll post some pics to prove my point but not before showing the piece de resistance of photos. This is my nieces 3 of 4 beautiful children. It's moments like this that make me so glad I have a camera!
