Where does a whole summer go?! Well I can tell you where it lands me this September which is back at school again but this is my last go as a full time student! September is usually a time to look ahead to what is coming but right now I find myself looking back a little. First I look back at my summer because I haven't blogged or posted any photos of what my summer was like until now!
The first half of my summer was spent doing some corporate head shots and clean sweeping my basement to get ready for that portrait studio that I know I am going to love when its ready. I am so excited and I can't wait to have my first clients in it. I've already got plans and goals for it in the future but I'll save that for when I'm actually closer to it and when the 12 boxes to get rid of are gone too. I've got iphone pics to post at a later date to show the progress from beginning to end but I can say it took weeks to clean out as much of that as I have and was very cathartic. Old toys and junk and kids clothes that don't fit are now all sitting in a huge pile of boxes to go go go!!!
The last half of my summer was spent finally using the camera. An amazing trip up north with my kids and my sister and brother in law for a week to see my parents new apartment, time in Toronto with my sister, a day photographing in High Park with my brother in law, and a trip to the zoo with my photography friends. The trip up north included some great photos of my niece Jayda performing in a musical by where she starred as Mrs. Gloop and The Candyman. I also took some pretty modelling pictures of her and then took some great shots of some of my favourite places in New Liskeard. The trip to the zoo was serious calorie burning walking for almost 7 hours to get pics of almost every area of the zoo.
